Diarrhoea 8 weeks post op

I had my RNY Gastric bypass just over 8 weeks ago I have managed to progress through the food stages and have been tolerating each stage quite well until a couple of days ago.

I have suddenly developed diarrhoea and I'm not sure why?...my last meal was chicken and salad and I've tolerated that well before ... Since then I've gone back to my protein shakes to give my stomach a rest .... Has anyone else been through a similar experience? If it doesn't get better in a couple of days I'm going to see my doctor .

I had similar issues on and off basically from the beginning after surgery. Turns out my gut bacteria was off, most likely from the hardcore antibiotics used during surgery. It can really mess up the flora of your intestines. I started taking a probiotic and things have gone back to normal. :)

Honestly I still have trouble switching between constipation and diarrhea. I don't think I have had a normal BM since I had surgery.

I believe it is part of what we deal with now.
