I forgot to clarify this w/the doc. so I thought I would see what you guys say...The nurse at my consult said that I could drink as much as I wanted up until I started to eat and for at least one hour after. I think I've read other places that you also shouldn't drink B4 the meal but this is not what she had said. (Also, she is banded) What is the rule for this? Thanks!

it is 30 min. before meals and one hour after... i was just banded 6 days ago,, good luck

Mine said I can drink up until I start eating and then I have to wait for an hour or so afterwards.

I since the liquid does sit in your stomach for at least a few minutes, I would wait around 10min. Just my .02, though.

You need to call your own doctor for clarification....they all have different guidelines.
