Dr referral

Hi new to the group I have partnership insurance thru medi cal in California I found out that bariatrics is covered and they told me which hospital is covered. My question is I have to have my primary Dr refer me does any one know what the requirements are I currently weigh 270 with a bmi of 44 is that enough any info please and thank you

every insurance is different, therefore the requirements will be different. I work in insurance and I only dealt with Medi-Cal a handful of times. I would suggest calling medi-cal and ask what the requirements are. That way, when it's time to submit everything to medi-cal, you'll be covered. Good luck!
