Psych

At my appointment with the psychologist. So nervous. Funny thing is I am a Psych nurse. Oh help me.

    I don't know if you've had an opportunity to read up on the psy eval, but it was pretty easy.

    The doc only wanted to know that I knew what I was getting myself into.

    And was mentally prepared to make the changes necessary to be successful at WLS.

    He wasn't out to disqualify me, after all, it was in his best interest to see that I passed.

    I'm sure my doc would not refer his patients to a psych. that disqualified his patients for frivolous reasons.

    Mine was easy peasy. Only took about 20 minutes and she spoke in welcoming conversational tones. All in all it covered my knowledge of the procedure, how my life would change, support system, expectations, family and diet history, etc. There were no written tests as I know some have had. Best of luck!
