Lesson learned. Surgery date 8/10

I'm now on soft/ puréed foods. I've been feeling great. Down 25.5 lbs. This morning I was throwing some breakfast together and getting the hubs ready to leave on the truck. Took several bites of scrambled egg pretty quick and gulped two big gulps of water. Oops. I was hurrying around and just wasn't thinking. That was almost an hour ago and I'm still sick. Not a good feeling. First time I've done that, and will be the last. (I hope)

Just a word of advice to those that are not yet on soft foods, listen to what they tell you!!

Done that. Wait until you gulp some drink and hello, gulping not cool! One forgets. The good news is it gets easer. I am 11 months post surgery and I can drink at a decent pace. The first 4 months are hard but then every month is so much easier.

Not drinking while eating is hard for me to get used to. Ugh.

I'm a year out and still have issues with that....especially at a restaurant where everyone else is sipping or guzzling during a meal....everything else has become second nature to me, vitamins, chewing well, slowing down my eating...they tell you to drink drink drink your water.....but not at a meal......grrrrrrrrrr......
