70lbs! Need support

Total : 70lbs Gone!

I'm so grateful for this surgery. I never thought I would see below 200lbs. I always said if I reached 190 I'd be happy. Now, I find myself wanting to reach the surgeon's 150 goal.

Clothes and self image are still an issue. I find myself still wanting to wear my 3x sweatshirts and baggie pants. I should easily be in 14's... maybe 12's. I just don't feel like I want to wear for fitting clothes. I wear my 16 jeans and think they fit fine... then I take a picture and realize they look super baggy.

I'm having trouble with motivation as well recently. Granted there's a lot going on and a lot of stress right now so I'm hoping it passes and I can feel as good as I was feeling.

I don't know what I need from this post specifically, just needed to write where I'm at and if you've been there or have encouraging words, maybe you can reply?

Thanks

  • Awesome job! You look great and so happy! Firstly, I would suggest buying clothes that fit properly and you feel great in. That really helps with goals and motivation. When you look and feel great,

You know what's funny, after I wrote this post I went to my HIIT class and the trainer said "wow, your getting skinny!". It confirms my belief that I just don't see myself the way others do. It gave m

OH MY GOSH! CELEBRATE THAT LOSS!!! I HAD A HARD TIME MAKING MYSELF STOP STOP STOP WEARING MY BIG CLOTHES THAT DIDN'T FIT ANY MORE TOO. I MEAN YOU COULD'VE PUT A PILLOW IN THE SEAT OF MY JEANS WITH ME...ANYWAY I FINALLY GAVE IN (CUZ I'M MONEY CONSCIOUS TOO) AND GOT SOME JEANS ETC AT GOOD WILL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING THIS BECAUSE YOU WON'T BE IN THEM BUT A FEW MONTHS IF THAT. I FELT LIKE I WASN'T LOSING SLOWLY SO I DID BUY SOME GOOD STUFF AT RETAIL STORES BUT NOW I'VE HAD TO DONATE IT BECAUSE IT TOO WAS FALLING OFF. SO GOOD WILL, THRIFT ETC HELPED ME. BUT NOW I'M PRETTY MUCH A TIGHT 16 IF ITS NOT STRETCHY MATERIAL AND WEAR A LARGE SHIRT. I DID BUY A HUGE BAG OF NEW STUFF YESTERDAY BUT ALL THE LAST BATCH OF CLOTHES I BOUGHT WERE TOO BIG AGAIN. BUT I WEAR STUFF THAT IS FITTED AND LOVE IT. EXCEPT ITS WEIRD WHEN PEOPLE WHO KNEW YOU BEFORE OR NOT KINDA SCAN YOUR BODY. CELEBRATE!
