Got a surgery date & started Optifast!

Everything's happening so fast :omg:- I had my phone consultation with Dr. Mumford from the Weight Loss Centre in Toronto June 18, was approved for financing June 21, and scheduled for surgery July 12! Yikes - that's less than 2 weeks away! I started Optifast today, which I don't mind the taste of - I bought chocolate. I am pretty hungry though. Hopefully in a couple of days ketosis will kick in. I'm getting quite excited/anxious. :clap2:

Hi: Welcome to the world of the bandster. You will go thru every emotion there is but in the end, you will have made the right decision. If you feel hungry and start the grazing, immediately go and do something, take a bath, go for a walk, go on the internet, whatever just don't eat. I am sure you have been advised how important it is to shrink the liver as it is a very delicate organ and can be damaged when it is moved aside for the band. The smaller it is the easier for the doctor. Doddie

Congrats! The time will fly by and before you know it you will be banded. My surgeon was Dr. Cobourn but I've spoken with Dr. Mumford on the phone and he is wonderful. They will take good care of you!
