I'm on a 2 week liquid diet. Only protein shakes and unsweetened drinks. Starting day 8. Surgery in one week! First few days were rough, but has been alot easier than I thought. Just looking toward the goal.

Surprisingly my pre op liquid diet was a lot easier than post op has been.

It depends on your program but I was allowed any low fat Soup I could purée and push through a strainer. Black bean soup from Panera was my go-to. Post op the thought of eating that right now sickens me!

I was also allowed seedless fruits and nut butters in my smoothie. banana Peanut Butter with chocolate whey was and still is my favorite.

I had to do 3 week pre op as well...mine was completely full liquid with no meals allowed. It was HARD!!!! To be honest, I was far from perfect and was TERRIFIED that my surgeon was going to tell me my liver was too big for him to operate. When I woke up and saw that everything went like it was supposed to, I was BEYOND grateful!
