Changing hospitals

I got approved for surgery but decided to price check other facilites and found a cheaper hospital (good ratings). So I decided to change facilities. Now I have to wait again for insurance approval. And process has started all over again, anyone else come across this before?

    Does your surgeon have rights at the new hospital? I did have some changes in pricing when I switched hospitals but I felt more secure at my second choice.
