I have been in plus sizes since my Sophomore year in high school. There are things I avoid: bathing suits, Halloween costumes, shorts, anything from fitting. The weight is coming off and my pants are getting smaller. I have been excited since before my surgery about the results, but now I'm getting scared. I need to go get some clothes soon. I'm just not sure of what to buy at this point. Oh and we will be going on vacation soon, tgat means a swim suit. Help!!

Believe it or not have fun with it. The first time I went clothes shopping I was so nervous because I hated clothes shopping but my clothes were literally falling off of me.

I started by trying one size smaller and found I was still drowning. Then it became exciting because I tried 3 sizes smaller and they fit. I was so shocked that I wanted to try on everything I could get my hands on.

I am now 6 sizes smaller and can shop in any store. I would be smaller yet but I have lots of loose skin holding me back.

I also had to buy a swimsuit for a family vacation to Hawaii.

Good luck and have fun with it!

Maybe rompers with ties and cute sandals. They are roomier and because of the ties it gives you room to keep shrinking over the summer...

Hi i use to hate shopping but I love it now, why not go on a shopping spree i you do not want to buy all new clothes go to a consignment store and try on clothes that way you get your size and do not pay a lot of money for clothes that you will out grow. This is a very exciting time and your are going to have fun and trust me after hiding in oversize clothing you are going to want fitted clothes. I went from a size 32 to a size 12/14 pants size 3 x dress to a medium and swimsuit is a 12/14 . I love m new hour glass figure and i am proud to show it off. No more hiding in baggy clothes for me. Good luck you got this.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
