I'm so sad

I spoke to a surgeon today and he said no. He said I did not qualify since I am 9 lbs away from the 35 bmi. I am also on beta blockers for migraines and my blood pressure is lower. I don't know if I have diabetes or sleep apnea. I see my pcp on the 30th. He said that he doesn't think it will work for me because I have been on diets and not lose weight. I come from a family with weight issues. I have 4 uncles that had heart attacks at a young age and my father has copd. I don't want to be 274 lbs again.

The doctor said see a nutritionist. It will be like putting a bandaid on a gushing wound. I have gained 7 lbs in a week. I am just disappointed.

No I haven't. I live in Massachusetts. I don't know if they have any around here. I will do research.

Grrr, I looked and the closest to you is 390 miles in Pennsylvania. 4 hour drive. I don't know if that's anything doable for you.

Update.. I am in a new program and will be waiting for the insurance approval this month. I may not be approved until after Dec.

I'm 5'6" and was 200 pounds (that was my HW) when I had my sleeve (33.3 BMI). I had 10 surgeries before my sleeve on June 30th and my surgeon said I was an excellent candidate BECAUSE I didn't lose weight on any diets. I was a self pay ($14,000) so I didn't have to deal with insurance. I'm 9 weeks out and have lost 30 pounds. I feel awesome, my comorbidities are virtually gone, and I'm rocking a size ten! I may be in debt, but I'll have 20 years of extra life to pay it off! BOO YA!
