I got a message on my answering machine from BCBS nurse case manager for me to call her. Of course, its too late for me to call her tonight and its Friday.... I have to wait all weekend. My surgery was already approved. From experience--- does anyone know why she is calling-- is it routine???

The nurse case manager from my insurance company called me only my surgery was in January and she used the excuse of it being the new year and was calling to introducer herself and this was also during the time I was waiting for approval, so I mentioned the surgery to her and that I was waiting for approval. Then after teh surgery she called me to make sure I was doing okay. I woudl not worry I am sure she is just checking in with you. Good luck with your surgery.
