I was told years ago that I have a umbilical hernia. The doctor told me they wouldn't fix it because of my being over weight and a smoker at the time. It's never really bothered me. My question is, will this affect gastric bypass surgery? Will they fix it while they are in there? I haven't had my apt with the surgeon yet. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this?
