This is probably a stupid question, but does surgery ruin pedicures? I don't want to spend $30 on a pedicure right before surgery if it is going to be ruined by something they do. I don't know WHY it would be ruined, but I could have sworn someone in a previous thread posted something about them removing nail polish when they prep you for surgery. Unfortunately, it's been so long ago that I don't remember which thread it was in.

In most surgery areas they want you to have one or two digits clean of polish to monitor your oxygen levels (place a sensor on it), so having your toes polished shouldn't be a problem as long as you have fingernails that are clear.

Cool! I never get manicures (they last about 10 minutes before I screw them up), so I should be fine, then.
