Amount of food at a time

Hi , I am new to the lap band and was wondering how you know when you are full or youve had enough to eat. I am in my first week after operation and an only allowed 2 ounces. How many ounces approximately does everyone whose already had a band for a while eat at a time without feeling sick?

 thank you so much.

At almost 2.5 years out, I eat anywhere between 3/4ths of a cup to a whole cup of food (it could be more, I am really just guessing).

I don't focus on how much I am eating, I just eat until I am full.

Me too, and it entirely depends what it is, half a sandwich I'm full but I just had seconds of the yummy Soup I made for lunch.

I guess pretty much though I eat a small to normal sized portion of whatever it is - I tend to eat about the same as my petite sister, who has a notoriously "small" appetite - so not such a small amount that people go "whoa, how do you live on THAT?" but more a nice, ladylike portion.

I eat about a cup of solid food at a time -- often a little less. If what I'm eating is liquid, it takes quite a bit more to fill me up. I try to stick to solids unless it's something I made at home and am sure of the calorie content.
