what are you currently eating?

Here are some things I ate/drank: sugar-free Jello, chicken or vegetable broth, "Dole" sweet corn Soup (it's liquefied), apple sauce, V8 juice, and of course - flavored Water.

Hope this helps. I'll be two weeks post-op Monday ... hang in there.

PhillyChick I am drinking the protien shakes...the chicken broth and vegitable soup broth... I was not told that i could have applesauce... I have had the sugar free popsicle in jello too and I was told I could not have any type of unclear liquids so I thought that v8 juice without for me I wonder if it depends on the doctor....

Hippieista...it is a journey huh...the prize will be worth it!

I think I practically lived on Mrs. Grass chicken broth. I was told to throw the noodles out and just use the egg and the seasoning packet. My doctors office gave me this recommendation after the first week and I was so sick of the taste of protein shakes. That broth was yummy and savory and really hit the spot.

  • 2 weeks later...

I promised my husband if I cheated on the pre op diet I would cancel the surgery. His thinking was if I couldn't do what my dr wanted me to do for two weeks how was I going to do this for the rest of my life. I got to thinking he was right. All of the sudden I wasn't hungry anymore and the two weeks flew by. It has now been 19 months, went from 265 to this morning 150.8. And loving life. You can do this. What is 2 weeks out of the rest of your life?
