Frustrated!

I have completed all of my requirements to have surgery and the surgeon's office submitted my paperwork on Monday, November 10. I just found out that the surgery was approved on November 17. So why have I nor my surgeon's office received an approval letter from BCBS? I have called them numerous times and am I told that they have 30 days to mail the letter. I am frustrated and angry. Any advise?

Thanks,

Jessica

Who said they have 30 days to mail the letter? BCBS? If so you may have to wait until a few days after the 17th and if no letter appears, call them back. Until then there is nothing to do but wait those 30 days out.

They do have 30 days legally to make a decision, If your already approved and it says that then I don't see why you can't make a surgery date? I have BCBS FED and they called me before they even told my DR (mainly Because I harassed the hell out of them :) unfortunately as aggravating as it is they have the power for the most part so just Wait......BUT hey who cares Your approved!!!! Don't be aggravated be happy!!!! You waited this long!
