So far recovery has been going pretty well. Surgery was Wednesday and only real problem was I came down with a nasty cold. That seems to have gone away. The problem is I went for a longer than usual walk and had to take many breaks on the way home..

The walk was maybe one mile. Before surgery I was used to running 5ks at least once a week. Anyone else experience shortness of breath issues?

God bless you! I had heart palpitations and shortness of breath just taking a SHOWER four days after surgery and had to call my doctor, never mind walking for nearly a mile. You are in your first week of recovery. Try to give yourself a break and don't rush into your previous level of activity. Good luck to you!
