I just got my 1st fill today. My port area is now swollen and bruised (almost looks like purple cottage cheese under my skin--sorry that was so graphic!) Have a call into my dr. just to be on the safe side...has anyone had this reaction after a fill?

As far as I know it is completely normal. I just had a fill today as well and I think the bruising has a lot to do with how much poking around the dr has to do to find the port. The swelling usually goes down with in a day or two.

You'll be fine in a couple of days. My last fill I got poked about 6 times and it hurt like hell and I was bruised and swollen for 3 days. Just give it a couple of days and you should be back to normal.

I always get a small bruise, heck I bruse with a blood test! It only lasts a few days and it's gone.
