Dumping syndrome! Help!

I'm going thru my first bout with dumping right now! It hurts so bad, I don't know how to get thru it :( I had a little bit of sugar free pudding with a little spoonful of sugar free cool whip on top, and 20 min later I was feeling cramps...it subsided and I ended up falling asleep but I just woke up with wicked pain right in the middle of my belly....have the shakes and sweats, my heart is pounding, I threw up a little but and had a little of the diarrhea.....omg has anyone ever had this from sugar free pudding???

I have an appointment with the surgeon on dec. 9th to schedule surgery. I am already getting nervous and then I read this post lol. I hope it's worth all this. I just want to be healthy but afraid of some things I have been reading.

I actually chose the RNY for the negative reinforcement of the dumping syndrome. Just the fear of it helps keep me in line so far...lol The surgery does have some negative side effects that may or may not affect you, but so too does being overweight. Best advice I can give is learn all you can about the surgeries and the health issues you may be facing from being overweight and then honestly weigh them out against each other. I did a lot of research, read the good bad & the ugly and made my choice.

Wow, 2 days?? When was your surgery and what did u have done? It could be a few different things besides dumping....I had 2 horrible days of pain and nausea because I hadn't moved my bowels in like 3 or 4 days...it was shortly after my surgery. It could be a stricture or a bowel twist?

I tried turkey again the day after it just didn't sit well had nausea & some vomiting. It's been 2.5 almost 3 months since I got my RNY. I have trouble with chicken too it's just to stringy for me. I have been fine since Friday night & thru the weekend. I also do fiber everyday in my breakfast protein shake & if I haven't gone in a day or two I put miralax in a drink. I like to pay close attention to all those types of symptoms not looking to kill my intestines, but thank you.
