Feel right at home here!

Hi,

First I'd like to apoligise for messing up my first posting "banding in Toronto" I must have posted it 67 times!!! But I'm new to the forum and not the best when it comes to IT or spelling as I'm sure you'll get to find out.

I was clicking around on my computer at 4am this morning and came across this forum. It's great, I can't believe how much info I've got already. I can now throw the terms port and slipping around like I actually know what I'm talking about!

I'm from the UK but moved to Toronto 4 years ago, I immediatly got on to the Canadian lap band section and felt very much at home and comfy here!!! I went for my first appointment at the TLBC today and hope to get the ball rolling. I've very scared and worried, I just have a feeling Yes, but it won't work for me, nothing ever has! So hearing all your stories it very reasuring. Anyway I'm going to become a regular and I'll let you know how I get on.

jetlagjane... I keep telling myself that the band is a very helpful tool in the process of becoming a healthier me! This forum has helped me a lot - reading the successes, the tips and suggestions and the support everyone gives, having a chance to "talk" about my challenges, and so on. Fortunately my DH has been great too! Since I was banded in March, I have made some really positive changes in my eating habits and I also exercise more regularly! So hang in there!

jetlagjane, this site has been my saving grace. i did so much research before making my decision. i have to say when it comes to support forums this one tops it. keep in touch!
