I am finally creating a post and hope to align with some other new sleevers so that I know everything is normal for me! I had the sleeve done on Tuesday, Oct 14 at about noon. Was feeling good by Wed, Oct 15 so home by 5pm.
So far, I have been doing a lot of broth, milk, and juice in addition to my water. I was completely turned off by the creamed soups and cream of wheat they tried getting me to eat. I'm content with the thinner stuff. I am craving some normal food like pizza though!
I think one of the hardest things for me is going to be trying to make meals for my family while knowing that I can't have them for the first couple of weeks. I want to make an honest attempt at sitting at the table with them for dinner, but it is hard to explain to my five year old that mom can't eat that.
In addition to the sleeve surgery, I am also 3.5 weeks post op from a new total knee. At age 38, it hasn't been an easy road with the knee but hasn't been the hardest either.
So that's me in a little nutshell...hoping to explore some new liquid foods today!
