caresource in OHIO

I have caresource and i will be talking to my Dr. next week about WLS (lapband).Has anyone here been approved by caresource??

I heard you have to be on your death bed b-4 they will approve it.

I have tried to get covered through other insurance companies but have been denied due to my weight.

any suggestions?

    We have had a couple people in to be banded where I work and they said it wasnt that terrible to get approved. They both had some co morbidities along with the increased bmi! Good luck and keep us posted!

    Thanks wish me luck I go see my Dr. next week and i have already done the 6 mths. supervised diet. so hopefully I'm half way there.

    I have bad knee's starting to get HB and my cholesterol is starting to go up and depression. so i hope they take that in consideration.
