I had surgery two weeks ago today in Juarez, MX. The surgery take 40 min to an hour. Keep in mind that the whole time after surgery while in the hospital you will be on IV pain meds. I can honestly say that I was never in pain, maybe discomfort. I was on a plane two days later. For me I use distraction tactics. I try to focus on something that I am looking forward too that is after surgery. So when my mind would wander to the surgery, I would shift back to something else. It worked for me, before you know it you're in recovery. Two mantras that I live by now. This is only temporary & take it one day at a time. Good Luck.
