I was wondering my bowel movements have been either a golden / or a almost white color. Is this normal? I have one about every 4 or 5 days. I am 5 weeks post op.

If you Google colors of bowel movements you can learn quite a bit. Black stools for example mean you are bleeding. Dark green is from

Iron. Your stool should be a variation of brown. I think yellow to white might indicate you aren't absorbing nutrients. Google it, then talk to your surgeon or pcp. I'm just a fellow RNY patient and don't know anything other than what I read.

Stool can be any color. It also has to do with what you eat & drink.... The dyes, etc. I was having the worst problem with constipation. I now take Miralax everyday & have a BM every 1-2 days. You can mix it in any liquid & it's not flavored so doesn't change the taste of anything.
