Is Pre-OP Diet a Necessity?

I ask this question because I have not been told to go on a pre-op diet. I am a little worried because it seems nearly all of you were on one before your op.

Any input would help allay my worry.

Thanks:nervous

Hi Jane, here's some links to a few threads that may answer your question. There's a poll thread and plenty of people did not have pre-op diets. I unfortunately have a mandatory one, the MD's office actually checks to see if you've ordered your stuff or not. If you haven't ordered it and received it in time to be on it for the required length of time before surgery, they'll cancel you.

Thanks Faith...I hope yours goes well. I think I will be moderate for the week before anyway. It can't hurt.
