Hi Brenda!

I noticed that today is your surgery date...congrats! I am not in St. Louis ( I am in California) but I am 1 year and 7 seven months post op. I have reached my goal and I am currently in maintenance mode. I would be happy to answer any questions you have, or lend support.

I hope today is the beginning of a great experience for you. My best piece of advice for this particular day, is to walk as much as you can, even it's minimal and slow as molasses!

Best of luck!

Laura

Hi Brenda,

Just had my surgery the day before yours on the sixteenth. Would love to hear from others too. By now you must be home and on your liquid diet. How are you feeling? The first few days are the hardest. I went out for a ride yesterday and every time my husband went over a bump in the road it was an experience.LOL Every day gets better, make sure you move around frequently. As I am an older lady, almost 71, I expect my recovery to be different from someone in their 30's.

Take it slow and let me know how you're doing.

Hugs
