weight gain

Hello I am five days out from gastric by pass surgery and went in at 249 and after surgery I was up to 267. I am now back down to 259. It takes me four hours to get down a protein shake at a time and I sip juice other wise. Anyone know if this is just fluid weight from the surgery and if so how long before I am at least where I started.

Signed,

Frustrated

I gained 5 lbs while in the hospital for surgery and ended up going back 2 weeks later with dehydration and gained 8..

When I were in the hospital, I had an I.V. pumping fluids into me during my stay. I gained weight but when I returned home, I shed that (fluid) weight relatively quickly and then began losing significant weight.
