Medication and Weight Gain

I know that some psych meds make you gain weight. Would the sleeve help that? Is there any research on med related weight gain and surgery? Tia

Thank you I'm on Seroquel XR and I've read that it slows your metabolism I don't need that. Any suggestions on a good bipolar med? I've been on some of everything. I need something but I refuse to take anything that hinders my weight loss. Thank you.

Not for me it didn't. I went through a med change June 2016-September 2016..... let me tell you..... I instantly gained 10 lbs in less than a month. Came off of Effexor ER that I was on for 10 years to Prestiq 100..... not ok.

Long story short we changed it to 50mg Prestiq 20-40mg Paxil ( depending on my cycle) And lamictal 200mg all daily.

Now, I'm back to 160.5 pheeew! Lol
