Newbie

Hi just wanted to introduce myself my name is Keith I'm new to this forum. I am going through Kaiser to get my weight loss surgery done. I am in my last month of classes and will soon meet with the surgeon to figure out what type of surgery and when. I am shooting for the sleeve and can't wait to get it done. Thank you

Nice to meet you Keith. I had my surgery 6/25. I'm really glad I did it and sorry I waited.

Nice to meet you fezik23. I know the feeling I had the chance to do the surgery back in early 2000 but decided against it, big mistake. I can't wait I am worried about the sagging skin since I HOPE to lose quite a bit of weight with the surgery but sagging skin is better than a life of the weight chains.

I have the same concern about the skin but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

Welcome! I'm 5 months post op & couldn't be happier. My health is so much better & I have so much more energy! I'm down to 1/2 of a blood pressure pill (previously on 4) & no diabetes meds since 1 day preop. My a1c was perfect 3 months post op! I do have some skin issues but not as bad as I had feared. My arms are the worst but not sure I would consider plastics. I might reconsider after I hit goal. But would want to maintain for at least a year first. I've had 2 c sections so I thought my stomach would be the most horrible. Honestly it is a lot better than I expected. I still have 20-30 lbs til goal & hope more will go away! But I could live with it even now. I never expected a perfect body. I have talked to some people about a tummy tuck but it sounds really traumatic so we will just have to wait & see what the next year or so brings. Best of luck to you!
