crossing back into canada from mexico

hey all

I just got my band put on yesterday by dr.ortiz in tj and im flying back to seattle on saturday and i was wondering when i cross the border can canadian customs try to get me to pay tax/duty for $8500usd i spent in mexico or is it off limits to them?

    Congratulations on your band. I am no customs agent but it seems to me like you ourchased services - not goods and there is no tax on services.
