How long after surgery? I had surgery 7/22/13 and flew to Florida for a 7 day cruise for Thanksgiving with no problems.

Six weeks after surgery. Fly to Ft. Lauderdale leave for 7 day cruise.

I'm going on a cruise at the six week mark as well. Sleeved on 6/28 and the cruise leaves 8/10. I will have just started solid food per my post op plan. I'm mostly concerned with staying hydrated since it will be hot and humid at the stops. We are driving not flying to the port so I don't know if that makes a difference. My surgeon says I will be fine. As for the food I'll take protein shakes/powder with me and just do my best. I've been on several cruises so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything and I know there is a wide variety of food for me to work with.
