Most of us lose some weight shortly after surgery. This 10-20 lbs is mostly Water weight. Just having the band usually helps most of us eat smaller meals but not small enough to lose fat. After 1-5 fills most of us feel the restriction and many lose lbs but much of it is pure willpower and following the rules.

If you reach the green zone and follow the rules you should lose 1-2 lbs a week.jmo
