"Thank God for My Sleeve!"

I'm so sick of reading that. Thank your surgeon, the surgical staff, the person that came up with the concept of the gastric sleeve, etc.!

I'm thankful for God for keeping me safe and never leaving my side. I'm also thankful for my surgeon and hospital staff. To me - saying thanks does not need to be mutually exclusive.

I agree. There are medical/biological reasons beyond our control regarding why most people are unable to lose weight without the medical intervention of WLS, but it's all our own willpower and drive t

  • Just like a pro football player thanking god for a touchdown. It's silly and illogical, and if there were such a god, would he have nothing better to do than deliver touchdowns (or Oscars, etc.)?

Like-minded people have always formed communities.

I think it's nice to have this little community of other agnostics and atheists to hang with.

Now, who's going to open the meeting tonight with a little prayer?

And how would it start?

What's funny?

Ah, er, Oh nothing, Oh Mighty One.....

Dear Lipsticklady,

Can you please use your magical powers to stop offending people with your practical yet mysteriously offensive advice?

In this we pray, Amen.

Childish? How so?

If you don't like the comments in this particular forum, then I suggest you move along.

Well every comment goes to my email... so reading all the catty back and forth arguments or whatever you want to call it is quite entertaining lmao.

You obviously don't know how to read sarcasm. No catty arguments here. Just peace and love.

I don't really care if it's sarcasm or not. It's funny to me. And why are you still messaging me in the first place ? Goodnight.

I will just pray for whomever invented this forum, and the people who put others down for being a Christian. It's so funny to me when people can voice their opinion but judge others whose opinion differs from their own.

You can thank your surgeon, but the truth is, he/she wouldn't have been able to perform your surgery if God had not given them the brain to do so! This topic was showing up under my "unread" topics, and that's the only reason I clicked on it, but I'm so very glad I did!

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, for whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.

There's a really good book called the Bible that explains everything from creation to the end of the earth!

All I can do as a Christian is pray for the non-believers and hope someone crosses your path one day that shares the good news with you and then I'll see you in heaven one day!

I will not criticize you, but I will pray for you! ❤️
