Sleeved 4/15- 8 days post op

Hey everyone! I'm so glad I found these forums!

I had my sleeve done on 4/15 and I am feeling pretty good. I've lost 14 lbs! Biggest challenge I have found is getting in the amount of liquid I am supposed to be drinking. I can't fit it in. Plain water was making my stomach cramp up, which is totally weird but apparently common with sleeves. I started drinking very watered down Crystal Lite, but I am still only getting in maybe 32 oz instead of the 64 I'm supposed to.

First follow up with my surgeon is scheduled for tomorrow. Good luck to all of you!

I was sleeved the same and I am having the same problem. I can't drink Protein shakes either they make me sick… I am drinking strained Soup and hot tea. I can also handle sugar free pops

I'm a month post-op and some days I still struggle with liquids. Keep up the good work!!

You can ask your own nutritionist about this, but mine told me that any liquid that did not contain caffeine can count toward your daily requirement. So broth, Protein shakes, etc do count! You are probably fine.
