Approved?!

So I was notified today that I have a "tentative" surgery date of May 23. I qas told that insurance needed a prospective date but they haven't fully said "yes" to approval. Has this happened to anyone else? Also is it safe to say I'm pretty much approved?

Some insurance companies need a date of service along with your info. I have UHC and I had surgery on my back in February. A soon as they found out a date of service, they actually went faster giving me a decision.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I was just hoping that this meant I was pretty much approved for the surgery. I wouldn't see why they would ask for a date and then say nope never mind on the surgery.
