40 pounds at 4 months. Normal?

Four month anniversary today and I'm down 40 pounds, which feels great, but seems slower than I anticipated. Especially on the news my sister, who was 50 pounds heavier than me on her surgery date, lost 50 pounds in 2 months! I haven't been counting calories, but have been walking and eating protein and drinking lots of water. I have another 60 pounds to go. Any advice?

Since your sister is heavier than you, she will lose faster at first. The heavier you are, the higher your resting metabolism. It sounds like you are doing wonderfully, keep up the great work! We are all different. While I know it is frustrating when someone, especially someone close, seems to lose faster, you just need to focus on you. Compare yourself to where you were 4 months ago, be proud of how far you've come!
