I was banded on March 19th at Beth Israel in Boston. I just found out that my family is throwing a 50th birthday party at a restaurant for another family member on May 26th. Do you think I will be able to eat "real food" by then? How long after surgery does the first fill happen?

maybe..maybe not i was banded 7/24/06 and did not eat real food until october. after 4-5 weeks on liquids mushies are real food and you will be surprised what you can eat on mushies...fish, pasta, ground meat, mashed potatoes, lots of stuff so even if you are still on mushies do not stress about it you will find something to eat. good luck!
