Coffee and pains

Hey there,

I am 3 months post op and things have been going very well but in the past 2-3 days I get really severe pain in my stomach after having a coffee in the morning for an hour up to 2-3 hours. I've always drank coffee and had no issues until now. Has anyonelse had this problem? Any idea what could be happening? Thanks :)

Could be an ulcer.. I'd put a call into the doctor oh and stop drinking coffee :)

Are you on any acid reducer like Priolosec? Is it ONLY coffee? As Laura said, if it is creating pain for 2-3 hours, I'd stop drinking it for a while and see if you can get the "flare up" settled down and contact your Dr. immediately.

Thank you :) I'm on nexium to reduce the acid, it seems to have gone it's just always concerning after surgery when things happen out of the ordinary. :) xx
