Lap band and c-section

<HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->

I had a c-section last week to give birth to my daughter. My band has become even more tight than when I first got it. My band has no fill in it. Prior to surgery, I had very little restriction. Since the surgery, totally tight.

It's been 7 days and it doesn't seem to be improving. Has anyone else had this or anything similar? Is there anyone who's had a c-section since the band?

I emailed my doc this morning, but I thought I'd get some more input. PLEASE HELP!

My guess would be that you are still hormonal from pregnancy and birth and your body is maintaining Fluid.

I know your band can get tighter depending on what time of the month your cycle is on.

I'd give it a little while longer and see if things get better. It took me a while after having a c-section to get "normal" again with the amount of Water weight I had.

Congrats on the baby!! Hopefully I can have another one someday. :success1:
