My name is Janie, in Nov last year, I got a "Surgical consult" denial letter from pacificare hmo saying that I had not gone through the six month nutritional program.

So I started that in Nov and I now have only 2 1/2 months left before they will concider talking to me about what to do next after the 6 months program. I was wondering if you think pacificare will let me do all the other pre op appointments like psych,surgeon consult,sleep study...ect...before I actually finish my 6 months, maybe my last month in the program?. I just don't want to waste any more time waiting for appts that I can get while I am doing this 6 months of nutritional counseling? My thought is that we can get all of these tests done now to save time and waiting after I finish the program in a few months,

I feel so excited and any extra time wasted is like torture waiting to get my wonderful lapband tool.

I work at the hospital where they do the lapband surgeries, so they are getting to know me slowly. They are all very nice doctors and nurses.

I would contact your insurance company and ask them.
