Protein Bars

So does anyone have a Protein bar (or in my case part of one) for Breakfast instead of Protein shakes?

I'm finding I like them better and can eat it better than drinking a shake.

Thank you for your input.

I am 5 weeks out and have a protein bar a couple times a week with no problems. It's a nice change. Just watch out for the carbs

I'm considering having one every morning instead of a shake. I haven't been able to eat an egg or anything else breakfasty since surgery. And I usually eat breakfast on the run so my options are limited.

The bars I found that I like are the Quest bars. The carb counts a bit high but I try not to consume to many any other place right now. I'm still focusing on getting enough Protein in.

I've been eating half one every morning. Yes the have carbs but I don't really watch carbs I just try to get enough water, protein and calories in a day.

I'm a fan of the vanilla crunch and coconut cashew. They have 22 carbs but the VAST majority of that is fiber. 18 grams!!!) so really the net carbs are 4...not too bad for a protein bar. They don't have the texture I want in a bar but they're pretty good overall!

I just started stage 5 today- so happy! At what point did you all start eating protein bars?

Pure Protein bars are pretty good from what I've heard. I eat the chocolate deluxe and its wonderful. Try that one. It's found at Walmart.

I like the consistency of the Quest bars. Feels like I'm eating a meal. Some of the others remind me too much of a candy bar. I'm trying to steer clear of all candy type things.

I started eating Protein bars at about 8 weeks out. Mainly because I needed the extra calories and protein. Was still having a hard time getting them in. Now I just use as a Meal Replacement or if I'm feeling like additional calories are in order.
