Preparing For Winter

I finally started my pre-op diet today and reality is starting to set in!!! I live in Wisconsin and we are blessed with some doozys of winter weather! With that in mind, does anyone have any recommendations for a good, womens walking boot? I need to eliminate the 'excuses' out of my life, so I would like to have a good boot to wear after it snows. I have done a general internet search, but I would like to hear your thoughts! Thank you in advance. :D

I can't recommend a specific brand, but I do know your best bet is going to a bigger shoe store and looking for a good hiking boot. They come with good tread and Water proof outsides- both necessary when trudging through snow and over ice. Last year I found a pair at d**k's Sporting Goods for about $80.

EDIT: LOL it censored the name of the store!! It's D-i-c-k's, it's the store name not a curse! HAHAHAHA! :D
