Hi janifer! Welcome to the forum!! I'm in Austin Texas and my surgery is scheduled October 28th.

Thank you, for your Southern hospitality, in welcoming me to this site. Congrats on your surgery date 10-28-13! That is the day I start my 2 week pre-op diet. I am having my surgery on 11-11-13 as well as my Husband. I am going in first then him. Yippie!

Dr barker was my surgeon. He was great and have loved his aftercare. If you ever need anything or have questions let me know - send me a private message.

Oh and if you are having issues with protein shakes I know a great place locally that will let you try all of them first in the store before you buy!

That is wonderful that you have such a great relationship with your surgeon as it should be. Can you already tell the difference from when you had the lapland to the RNY?

I am suppose to start pre op diet November 4. I'm not looking forward to it though!

The feeling of the pressure you receive from the Lapband is gone. The RNY is more of a feeling of being full, not that stuck feeling. It is difficult to explain.
