  1. They haven't gotten your lab work from November??? I would be calling someone everyday until that was taken care of. There's no excuse for that delay.
  2. Take Miralax. My doctor recommended to me when I was constipated. It took a day but it cleaned me out!
  3. Carrie. I just wanted to let you know I read your blog. I think you're awesome. I admire your attitude and self-confidence. Keep up the great work.
  4. I have Tricare Prime also. I did not have a 6 month diet wait. I think it depends on which region you are in. I'm in Tricare South. All I had to do was have my PCM referral. Have a psych eval, an EGD, chest X-ray and bloodwork. The whole process was about 3 months. Tricare gave the approval in 2 days.
  5. How funny you called it the jimmy legs. I've called it that for years! Everyone laughs at me. My doctor says it can be caused by low vitamin d. I've been taking it for a while and it helps but doesn't completely make it go away. BTW I'm post-op.
  6. Hi qtinkc, We share surgery dates! I like how you said it will be the first day of the rest of your life. I've been telling everyone that it will be the first day of the BEST of my life!
  7. I am suppose to start pre op diet November 4. I'm not looking forward to it though!
  8. Check in from Corpus Christi. My surgery is November 18th.
  9. Welcome to the November gang!
  10. Got my approval! I'm officially November 18th!
  11. I'm like you I really didn't want to say anything. But I work in a small office of 4 ladies. We've been together 12 years and diets and weight have always been an issue for me. They are all normal size and of course I'm not. I cried when I had to tell my supervisor and I had to tell her to get the time off on the calendar. She told one other lady for me. I waited 2 weeks before I told the last one because she is a drama queen so I knew it would be a constant subject for her. And it has been. I didn't want my husband to tell his mom even though we live in a different state because she's the town cryer. He told her on Saturday and his whole family know now. But in the end pretty soon it will be obvious to everyone that I've done something. And when I'm thin I won't care if someone says something about my weight!
  12. Hi. I am hoping for a November 18 surgery date. I heard from my doctors office today that everything was submitted to the insurance company. So I'm just waiting on an approval. Glad to have you guys for support.
  13. Cool. If you want to be surgery buddies that would be awesome. I'm extremely nervous and it would nice to be able to share with someone facing the same issues.
  14. Hi. I'm new also and am hopeful for 11/18 surgery date. I have all my pre surgery test and psych eval next week.
  15. Histodeb I'm in Portland. Who is your surgeon and have you had surgery yet?
  16. I'm so excited now that I've made the choice to Pursue RNY that I'm going crazy. I have Tricare Prime South. I've read so many different things and am so confused on what the requirements are and what the timeframe from first visit to surgery. A lot of the post are old. Has anyone else started the process recently and has Tricare?
