Ok I love eggs, always have and always will ( at least I think so), my question is how long after surgery can I go back to having eggs. I don't mean boiled eggs I would think they fell under soft food, but I mean crack em, scramble them good and eat an egg, yummm, just thinking about it makes we wanna go get one! Any help guys and gals?

I'm 4 wks post op and had my first egg today. It settled very well with me and I had no issues.

I had to wait two weeks. Each Dr. is different.

I was allowed to have them two weeks out. I love eggs too but have not been able to stomach them since the surgery. My husband is suggesting I try hard boiled at a time of day other than Breakfast. I've had a hard time with them, so I'm a little hesitant.

i was allowed poached and soft cooked eggs (no scrambed) at 3 weeks (pureed). scrambled came last week at 4 weeks post op (soft foods). scrambled definitely settled different than the poached egg. and after having a deviled egg, that settles different than the scrambled egg as well (it was a little harder on my sleeve, at least).

All Doc's are different on guidelines. Mine was 3 weeks and that is when I had my first egg.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
