Scale and Non-Scale Victories!

Recommended Posts

I'm three months post-op today and am feeling good. Especially after some scale and non-scale victories. Wanted to share!

I'm down 65lbs total. Yes!

I'm more active than I think I've ever been (even practicing for roller derby) Yes!

Just went shopping for clothes and went from a men's XXL shirt to a men's XL and from a 46" waist to a 40"! I was able to buy multiple pairs of pants in a regular (not big and tall) store.

It feels surreal to finally have some notable progress. I also feel like I'll wake up tomorrow , try to pull up my new pants, and find that they won't go past my knees!

Congratulations on your success! I loved being able to shop in the misses department instead of the plus-size department. The clearance racks are my new best friend! They actually have clothes that I like, you only found the left overs on the plus-size clearance racks!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
