toning question

So I'm a little over 3 months now and I've lost 80lbs. I know that everyone has different bodies but I was wondering if anyone had waited until after they lost a certain amount of weight before they really went hard in the gym as far as weight lifting and were you successful with the toning results?

I just started going to the gym regularly. Actually, I'm officially 3 months out, so I did start after three months.

I hired a PT to guide me. She is training me according to my WLS. She did her own research and knows my limits. So far, other than soreness and hating the gym, I haven't seen any improvement. Too soon for that.

Hopefully, once I get down to my desired weight, I'll notice the muscle build up and the toning. We'll see what my body wants, tho.

I was in the gym working on toning as soon as doc would let me. Which was 2 months for me I have toned my arms nicely in my opinion. I lost a lot of muscle in my legs - so still working on regaining that muscle. Stomach is my worst area right now. Think I will need surgical intervention there.
