I just had my port fixed about a month ago. It was turned weird and impossible to access for fills. My insurance covered it completely, even though I was self-pay for the actual band. It was a very simple procedure. I didn't even need a general anesthetic. THey just gave me some versaid to make me loopy and fall asleep. Took less than 30 minutes and I was home 2 hours later. Not much pain at all after the first day or so.
