Astrotoes: Welcome Home! The gas usually lasts a couple of days. Try to walk as much as possible. Some people swear by 'Gasx', but others say it does nothing. It does help not to lie down flat.. sleep on an incline (reclining chair handy?)... It's a whole new world out here!

Welcome home Astrotoes, glad everything went okay for you, i had a hernia repair done at the same time also, i did not even know i had a hernia.

The gas pain will subside in a few days, i found walking helped me, again welcome back you are now on the band side of life, after your healing time is up you will be able to post lots of great weight losses.

Astrotoes, i did not have pain like you are describing, i only had the gas pain in the shoulder area.

It is likely a hietal hernia that he fixed. They scars are in the same position as the lapband. In fact, I have already lied & told someone this is what I am going to be away from work for.
